Install

KeyMob is a desktop application. Nothing is installed on the phone.

Download the build for your platform from the download page, then follow the section below.

Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. Two prerequisites, both one-time:

  1. Apple device driver. Windows does not ship one. Without it the phone charges but never appears in the device list — this is by far the most common first-run problem. Download the driver, unzip it and run the installer.
  2. WebView2 runtime. KeyMob’s interface renders through it. Windows 11 has it already; Windows 10 usually does not. Download the runtime.

Then unzip KeyMob and run the executable.

macOS 10.15 Catalina or later, Apple Silicon or Intel — pick the matching build.

Unzip and drag the app into /Applications.

Gatekeeper stops applications downloaded outside the App Store the first time they run. The dialog usually says the app “cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified”.

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  2. Scroll to the Security section. There is a line naming KeyMob, with an Open Anyway button.
  3. Click it, then confirm in the dialog that follows.

Only the first launch needs this.

Roughly 100 MB on disk and 1 GB of RAM. Performance capture writes samples while it runs, so leave headroom on the volume you keep captures on.

KeyMob checks for updates at launch and tells you when one exists. You can also download the current build at any time and install it over the previous one — settings and saved captures are kept.
